TeraSys Technologies has been awarded a product development contract for launch of the RF Absorptive Filter, or RAF, by the Hawaii Technology Development Venture.

This contract is being funded using State of Hawaii funds to spur the growth of companies capable of generating product sales in either military or commercial markets.

RAF is a high power absorptive notch filter that can be placed at the output of a transmitter to reduce the effects of RF Co-Site Interference.  Because of the absorptive property of the filter, it does not reflect power back towards the transmitter nor does it load down the transmitter or antenna impedance.  The first RAF prototypes are scheduled to be available for evaluation during the 3rd quarter of this year.
